无体育，不清华 | 首届清华附中稻香湖校区运动会
THIS DL Sports Day
5月8日，首届“清华附中国际部稻香湖校区运动会”在芳草茵茵，朝气蓬勃的春日校园内火热举办。此次运动会，国内体系学生和国际部的学生一起参与，共同享受运动的快乐；家委会积极组织，使家长活动精彩纷呈。
运动场上，师生们相互鼓励、英姿飒爽；家长们热情满满，共同参与。“无体育、不清华”，师生和家长们共赴这一场热情洋溢的运动之约，共襄盛举！
On May 8th, the THIS DL Campus held its first Sports Day on a beautiful, sunny, spring day. Teachers, students and parents spent the day taking part in various sport activities across campus. They encouraged each other and showed how strong the community was in athletic ability. It was especially pleasing to see so many parents also enthusiastically participate. “No sports, no Tsinghua” has always been a part of the Tsinghua Spirit, and Sports Day was a great way to gather the community together to celebrate the joy that comes from sport.
入场式 Homeroom Marches
早上，作为运动会的开场项目，每个班级都采用独具创意的口号、歌舞以及方阵在入场式一展班级风采。
In the morning, as a part of the opening ceremony, students paraded across the track and presented their class and Tribe chants and cheers in creative ways to showcase their individual styles.
开场仪式 Welcome Speech & Torch Relay
清华附中国际部执行校长李文平、学术校长何道明向到场家长、老师及学生表示欢迎并致开幕词。李文平校长特别强调了清华大学重视体育的优良传统，国际部稻香湖校区也将秉承清华人“体魄与人格并重”的光荣传统，推动学生文化学习和体育锻炼协调发展。
随后校领导们和家长代表们点燃了火炬，这种激动人心的的开场方式点燃了在场每一个人的运动热情。
On the Welcome Speech, Executive Principal Ms. Li Wenping and Academic Principal Mr. Donald Holder, emphasized the hope of carrying on the Tsinghua University’s fine academic and sports traditions. Our school will uphold thisglorious tradition of "paying equal attention to physique and personality" workingtogether with one another to promote the development of our students' culturallearning and physical fitness.
After the welcome speeches given by Principals, the school leaders and parents' representatives lit the Sports Day torch! As the torch got passed from person to person during the torch relay everyone’s anticipation for the activities to come grew.
义跑活动 Terry Fox Run
义跑活动*是国际部运动会的一个传统项目，带着“行胜于言”的清华精神，参与公益跑的“运动员”们在跑道上留下了他们一圈圈的足迹，清脆的笑声萦绕在稻香湖校区漂亮的大操场，他们通过自身行动，鼓励和帮助着那些需要的人。
注：义跑活动（Terry Fox Run）是为了纪念加拿大“抗癌斗士”特里·福克斯举办的年度义跑活动。该义跑是一种非竞技非商业的公益活动，捐款不设最低限额，筹得善款全部用于癌症研究。
The Terry Fox Run is a traditional part of the THIS Sports Day. With a firm belief in the Tsinghua Spirit of “action speaks louder than words”, all the athletes left their footprints on the track as their laughter filled the campus. By wholeheartedly taking part in this charitable event, the community showed its hope to help others in need through their own actions.
Note: The Terry Fox Run is an annual free run in memory of Terry Fox, a Canadian cancer fighter. The charity run is a non-competitive and non-commercial public welfare activity. There is no minimum amount of donation, and all the money raised is used for cancer research.
趣味运动项目 Stations
为了让孩子们更好地释放天性，表现自我，稻香湖校区体育组精心为小学部和中学部的学生们设计了十五个趣味运动项目，包括“趣味保龄球”“土豆麻袋赛跑”等等。同学们以班级为单位轮转，采用积分的方式争夺运动会的荣誉奖杯。
In order to give the students a wide variety of opportunities through which to exercise their athletic spirit, the THIS DL Campus Sports Day Committee organized 15 fun sports activities for the students, including "Bowling", "Water Balloon Dodge", "Scooter Relay", "Potato Sack Race" and so on. Students took turns as a class or Tribe to go through the stations and accumulated points to compete for trophies.
友谊赛 Friendly sports matches and games
学生、家长和老师之间的趣味游戏和体育比赛在运动日的下午举办。各种各样的亲子游戏，“水球躲避球”“滑板车接力”等让孩子和家长们玩得不亦乐乎。羽毛球、乒乓球和篮球的体育比赛火热开展，角逐激烈，尤其是很多家长们的实力不容小觑，球技媲美专业运动选手，让现场欢呼连连。最后，全校拔河大赛在绿茵场上举办，小勇士们和家长老师们都全力奋战。
在师生间，同学间，亲子间的笑声中，在手捧奖杯的喜悦中，运动会圆满落下帷幕。
Friendly matches and games between students, parents and faculty were held in the afternoon. Parents and their children participated in a variety of parent-child games, as well as badminton, table tennis and basketball matches. The day ended with an exciting tug-of-war match in which students worked together with their parents to try their best. As the sun began to set on the first THIS DL Campus Sports Day, the school family was left with feelings of happiness and stronger bonds between students, parents, faculty, and staff.
