Ilia Iashin

Ilia Iashin, from Russia. He graduated from Moscow Conservatory, where he studied cello with Igor Bobowitsch and baroque cello with Andrey Spiridonov. Ilia was born in Moscow in a family of musicians and has participated in master classes with many world-renowned cellists, fusing artistic styles from all over the world. He has worked as a teaching assistant at Gnessin College of Music and Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, then as a music and cello teacher at Brookes Moscow International IB World School. He is able to teach in both English and Russian, and his teaching experience covers students of all ages and from different countries and cultures. In addition to his extensive teaching experience, Ilia is also a professional performer. He has performed as a soloist with the Moscow Concert Symphony Orchestra and has worked with world-renowned conductors such as Vladimir Jurowski, and many famous orchestras around the world. Ilia is playing a cello by famous French luthier Honore Derazey from all-Russian collection of unique music instruments, which is provided by International Von Meck Foundation.
