Darren Lau, from Canada, earned his degree in History from the University of Calgary, where he focused on world history and developed a deep appreciation for global cultures and perspectives. With over 9 years of experience, he has built a career centered around teaching middle school students, a group he finds especially rewarding to work with due to their curiosity and energy. An experienced educator across Asia, he has built engaging classrooms in South Korea and China while prioritizing student well-being and inclusive learning. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Special Needs Education, he aims to better support diverse learners. Beyond teaching, he promotes teamwork through ultimate frisbee and volleyball, and enjoys snowboarding and animals—bringing the same passion to all pursuits.
