Years of "Learning by Doing", We Lead the Way — Our Primary Science Practice in Deep Alignment with MOE Guidelines
Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the “Guidelines for the ‘Learning by Doing’ Pioneering Initiative in Science Education during Compulsory Education” (hereinafter referred to as the “Guidelines”), deploying the “Learning by Doing” Pioneering Initiative in science education nationwide. The Guidelines clearly state that science education should be student-centered, interest-driven, and practice-based, focusing on “real-world problems” and engaging in interdisciplinary project-based learning that emphasizes comprehensiveness, practicality, and openness. As advocates who have always upheld the principles of “Learning by Doing” and “Learning is for Using,” we are delighted to find that these requirements have long been the norm in our elementary science department’s classrooms.
